Connect to an API

More and more applications offer an option to connect to an API, below you see a screenshot of the options available in PowerBI. If the application you are using does not offer the option to connect to an API you can write your own script or you could use vendors like CDATA, who over a range of API connectors. I would strongly suggest to use a vendor solution before writing your own script. These vendors offer solid solutions for very acceptable prices.
